Account Executive for Events and Media
Account executives work with businesses in the hospitality, retail, tourism, theater, restaurant, builder, interior design industries, and more, spending each day working with the people who create the best the Twin Cities has to offer.
Account Executives sell comprehensive multimedia marketing solutions that help our clients grow their business. Solutions run the gamut from event sponsorships and exhibitor participation to print, digital, and content marketing campaigns. Our portfolio of award-winning products includes events such as the Food & Wine Experience, GrillFest, Fine Spirits Classic, Luxury Home Tour, and Midwest Home Design Awards, as well as Minnesota Monthly, Midwest Home, and a host of custom magazines.
A Day In The Life of an Account Executive:
- Sell print, digital, and face-to-face marketing solutions, such as event sponsorships and exhibits, that help companies grow their business
- Serve as key, customer-service focused account manager for existing and new clients
- Consultatively sell and prospect for new business development, creating unique packages to meet real business objectives
- Contribute to the growth of the company through profitable revenue generation and demonstrate efficiency in selling over the phone and in person
- Understand and manage client expectations specific to the sales and contract fulfillment process
- Apply sales questioning techniques to identify and capture up-sell opportunities
- Apply sales prospecting and prioritization skills that result in steady pipelines and sales cycle closure
- Identify new advertising prospects using competitive print, online, and broadcast media; trade publications (marketing, advertising, industry specific); and business contacts/referrals as prospecting sources
- Prepare written, in person and over-the-phone sales pitches/presentations designed to meet existing and prospective customers’ needs and resources, resulting in new or renewed commitments
- Leverage business processes, tools, and systems such as CRM, ZoomInfo, market research, circulation data, editorial calendar etc. to assist in successful closure of sales
Ideal candidates have an innate drive to succeed, a can-do/will-do attitude, and a successful track record of developing solutions for clients.
