Minneapolis, November 22, 2006 – Greenspring Media Group, the publisher of Minnesota Monthly and Midwest Home magazine, announced today that it has purchased the Fall Minneapolis Home & Garden Show from dmg World Media Group.

The Minneapolis Home & Garden Show-Fall Edition, which started in 1990, will become the ninth consumer show produced by Greenspring as part of its consumer event division. Midwest Home magazine will become the presenting sponsor of the Fall Minneapolis Home & Garden Show.

“We were the classic strategic buyer for this brand,” says Steve Fox, president of Greenspring. “It’s a terrific platform extension of our publishing operation as well as a strong operating fit within our consumer event group.”

Plans for the 2007 Midwest Home Fall Home & Garden Show include expanding the event into two halls at the Minneapolis Convention Center, and adding an emphasis on remodeling, interior design, and landscaping. “Our major theme is all about home improvement, from kitchen and bath makeovers to room additions and landscaping renovations,” says Fox. “We want the show to be the inspiration center for homeowners who want to rejuvenate their living spaces, whether that involves furniture and accessories or a new four-season porch and deck.”

Greenspring Media Group also produces the Twin Cities Food & Wine Experience and Luxury Home Tours in Minneapolis, Chicago, Indianapolis, Naples and Tampa Bay. In addition, the company’s magazine group features 12 different titles as well as custom publishing operations for business clients, ranging from General Mills to OfficeMax.

Greenspring Media Group publishes Minnesota Monthly as well as several other magazines, including Midwest Home, Drinks, Real Food and multiple custom publications. In addition to the publishing segment of its business, Greenspring Media Group produces signature special events including the Twin Cities Food and Wine Experience and Luxury Home Tours in Naples, FL, Chicago, IL and the Twin Cities.
