Assistant Editor – Minnesota Monthly
Greenspring Media is the award-winning publisher of Minnesota Monthly, Midwest Home, Where, and other national and local publications.
Minnesota Monthly magazine is seeking an Assistant Editor with strong research and magazine-style writing skills. The Assistant Editor should have experience working for a general-interest magazine or newspaper in the Twin Cities and be familiar with the entirety of the publication process, from conceiving story ideas to proofreading. This position supports Minnesota Monthly‘s editorial staff with research and fact-checking of all magazine content, as well as responding to inquiries and managing various administrative duties. The Assistant Editor will also be responsible for writing, editing, and managing daily online content, from blogs to social media. The role requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills, the ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines, as well as the capacity to think both logically and creatively. We’re looking for someone who is both conscientious about detail and possesses an insatiable curiosity about the broad range of subjects we cover.
Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, a minimum of 3 months internship experience at a general-interest magazine or newspaper in the Twin Cities, as well as a strong knowledge of Minnesota and its culture. The interview process will include a writing assignment.

Sales Account Executive – Minnesota Monthly

Greenspring Media is looking for an account executive to work with businesses in the tourism, real estate, and hospitality segments. Spend every day working the people who create and promote the great activities and destinations in the Twin Cities.
As an Account Executive, you will sell marketing solutions that help companies grow their business. You will sell advertising into the award-winning Minnesota Monthly and Official Visitors Guide to the Twin Cities magazines.

Sales Manager – Greenspring Media

As the Sales Manager for Greenspring Media, producers of Minnesota Monthly and Midwest Home, you will drive and fulfill company growth requirements and maintain effective direction within the sales department. You will be responsible for creating and executing the sales strategy for many of our product offerings. Working with your team and others, you will achieve maximum customer satisfaction, diversify our customer base and increase sales and market share. Most importantly, you will hire, manage and coach account executives to ensure the sales department is continually tasked toward growth objectives, follows a defined sale methodology, and is abreast of new sales tactics and market shifts.
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in media, communications, or marketing. Your 3-5 years of successful sales management experience will demonstrate effectiveness in planning and implementing sales strategies. Having a keen eye for talent and a strength in building sales teams is a necessity. Prior client relationship management, relevant product and industry knowledge and the ability to assimilate quickly will be important in your success. You will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, be skilled at managing details, enjoy problem-solving and working in a dynamic environment. Production Designer – Greenspring Media
Greenspring is an award-winning, fast-paced entrepreneurial company full of people who are passionate about Minnesota, media, food, travel, home décor, and more. We are seeking a Production Designer. As a successful magazine publishing company located in the Twin Cities metro area, we will provide you with the platform and tools to showcase your talents while bringing design visions to life.
You will work closely with in-house edit, marketing and sales teams to brainstorm and design the visual direction of assigned magazine supplements, special sections, event and sales marketing materials, and advertiser campaign and other content marketing creative media products as appropriate. Daily activities include working with internal stakeholders and Sr. Art Directors to ensure our designs reflect the best outcomes. Must demonstrate experience in managing and adhering to deadlines/production schedules and processes for the movement of materials from concept through download.
A minimum of 2-3 years as a graphic designer required. Prior experience concepting new promotional campaigns, special sections, brochure and other marketing materials are also requirements of the position. In addition to your strong design and time-management skills, you must also demonstrate competency and clarity your verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
